2001- The European Year of Languages - Paris!

And... the new millenium couldn't have started better! With a trip to... Paris! It was with students and it was during the carnival interruption. How I miss those days! It was completely amazing how the students behaved! Good and sweet memories!

The new millenium... travelling! - 2001

In 2001, to commemorate the first year of the European Day of Languages, we (I was in Moncorvo) went to Paris! I went to Paris for the first time (so far...). It was an unforgotable experience, because we went there with students (and what lovely students!). I'd never forget such an experience... by bus! Before Paris, we went to Poitiers (visited the Futuroscope) and Tours! Around Paris we visited Versailles and EuroDisney! I loved it all!!!

I miss Paris...

2000 - The beginning of a new millenium...

In 2000 I went to Andorra, for the first time and also to Barcelona (which I've already visited 3 times) - the country I know better is Spain :) - "nuestros hermanos" have a very beautiful country! From Seville, to Barcelona, passing by Madrid and smaller but not less beautiful cities such as Leon, Astorga, Burgos, Valladolid, Segovia, Toledo, Avila, Lugo... and... the most recent visit to a Spanish city... Granada! I love Spain!!!

After 1997...

The next major travel would come in 2004 but, meanwhile, I went for the fisrt time to a city nearby Bragança, called Salamanca, in 1998! A city so close to myself which I didn't know... In 1998/99 I also visited Sevilla for the first time and twice!! "Picos da Europa"... what a natural beauty!!

1997... London!!!!

And... after having just finished the university, it came the opportunity to visit London!!!

Thanks to my friend Sara, who introduced me to Ana Medeiros... there we went! To the capital city of England! I was really excited, because I think that having just finished my course (Portuguese and English) I had to visit one English speaking country! So, London was quite perfect!

It was a perfect week, indeed, from the lovely weather till the very last day... everything went soooo well!

I miss London... 

The moment I (consciously) started to travel...

It was in 1995 when I consider that I first began travelling and, the first country I visited was the small island of Malta (and also Comino and Gozo).
It was my last year at the university and, so, we decided to go there! It was lovely! I really enjoyed Malta and its "strange" people. I say "strange" because we were amazed by their way of living and, specially, of behaving... they were very suspiciousabout everything we did...!! :)
There are funny moments that happen when we travel, and I still smile when I think about one moment in special that I will never forget: it was in a disco, at night, when a friend of mine went to ask for a song to be dedicated to our group and they had to guess our country... well... from Denmark, to Sweden... they said almost every European country... but for Portugal! LOL

Travelling since... I was a little child...

As I was born in Angola and came to Portugal when I was still very young, I may say that, perhaps, my love for travelling began then!!
This blog was created because, in my opinion, the world has many different places to visit, but we should feel IT like ONE!!!!
I love travelling, learning about new people and new cultures, so, I hope this blog could be a space for sharing identities, cultures...
